Commissioner Pangani Munkombwe is an operations leader with over 22 years of experience in administration, coordination, and institutional management. He brings to the Commission a strong background in policy support, stakeholder engagement, and organizational leadership, grounded in a commitment to ethical standards and service to the people of Zimbabwe.
Commissioner Munkombwe holds a Bachelor of Science Honours in Development Studies from Zimbabwe Open University. His expertise includes public relations, team leadership, risk management, effective communication, time management, and critical thinking. He is multilingual, fluent in English, Shona, Tonga, Nambya and Nyanja, which enables him to engage effectively with diverse communities across the country.
His professional experience spans over two decades in key roles supporting high-level government offices from 1994 to 2016. In these positions he offered executive support, facilitated local, regional and international engagements, and supported the implementation of administrative and operational processes to ensure effective service delivery. From 2013 to 2016 he also served in Parliament of Zimbabwe in a departmental support capacity.
From 2018, Commissioner Munkombwe served with Bravura Zimbabwe, where he led the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures, coordinated executive operations, supervised teams, and managed planning for organizational events and programs.
Guided by principles of integrity, accountability and respect for human dignity, Commissioner Munkombwe is dedicated to supporting the Zimbabwe Human Rights Commission’s mandate to promote, protect and uphold the rights of all people in Zimbabwe.
