Human Rights, Peace and Conflict Resolution Specialist, Industrial Relations Expert, Women’s Empowerment and Mentorship Practitioner

Dr Dorothy Moyo is a distinguished human rights expert, peacebuilder, conflict resolution specialist, and industrial relations practitioner. She holds a PhD in Public Administration (Peace Studies) from the Durban University of Technology, an MSc in Peace, Leadership and Conflict Resolution from the Zimbabwe Open University, and a BSc Honours degree in Sociology from the University of Rhodesia, now the University of Zimbabwe.

She is serving her second term as a Commissioner with the Zimbabwe Human Rights Commission. Her career spans industrial relations, peacebuilding, conflict resolution, and human rights protection and promotion. Dr Moyo is also committed to women’s empowerment and mentorship, and has contributed to advancing justice, dialogue, and social cohesion.
